- Free preview
- Your own lyrics rapped (or, with Sing it, sung) over the beat and voice you chose, 30 seconds long
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| One cat, no people in the frame | Photos with more than one face are refused |
| Face turned toward the camera | The checker needs one clear face, roughly facing the camera |
| Face fills a good part of the frame | The mouth is what moves, so a close-up gives it room |
| Good light and sharp focus | A dark or blurry photo can be refused as having no clear face |
| Your own cat | Only upload photos you have the right to use |
| A real photo, not a famous cartoon cat | Copyrighted cartoon, game and film characters are refused |
Cat rapping videos are short clips where a cat looks into the camera and drops bars, its mouth moving with every word. Make one of your own cat from a single photo: give its name and two or three things it always does, and the AI writes a first-person flex rap, raps it over a trap beat and animates your cat's photo to match. The lyrics and a 30-second rapped preview are free.
How a cat rapping video is made
Upload one photo of your cat and pick My cat. For a cat, the checker looks for one clear face and nothing unsafe. Type the cat's name and its habits; the Flex style and a trap beat are preset here. Google's Gemini writes the bars in first person, as your cat ("I run this house"), and Google DeepMind's Lyria 3 raps them in a male or female rapper's voice.
For the video, Alibaba's Wan 3.0 opens and closes the cat's mouth with every word and bobs its head on the beat, while the paws, the fur and the background stay as they are in your photo. You get 13 to 15 seconds of vertical 720p video, usually in 5 to 8 minutes.
Pick a photo your cat can rap in
The checklist above is what matters for cat rapping. One cat, face toward the camera, close enough that the mouth has room to move, in good light. A cat in a group photo with people is refused, and so is a cartoon cat that looks like a known character. If the checker says it can't see a clear face, try a closer, brighter shot; you get 6 free photo checks a day.
Cat rap example: Biscuit's Rules
Biscuit is an orange cat in an AI-generated photo, made on the Flex style with a trap beat and a male voice. His details were knocking glasses off the table, screaming for breakfast at 5 a.m. and choosing the box over the expensive bed. His 14-second video opens with "My name is Biscuit, I run this house / More legendary than any mouse" and gets through the breakfast scream.
The box joke landed in the hook, which plays in the free preview but comes after the part the video uses. If one habit is the whole point, put it first in your details and check that it's in the first four lines before you pay.
Cat rapping ideas that land
Cats are made for the Flex style: they already act like they own the place. Good material is anything your cat does on repeat:
- pushing things off the table while looking at you;
- yelling for breakfast before the alarm;
- the box beats the bed, every time;
- sitting on the keyboard the moment you start working;
- ignoring you all day, then demanding attention at bedtime.
Want a gentle tease instead? Switch the style to Roast. Want your cat to sing? Pick Sing it (see the singing photo page). Got a dog too? Try the dog rapping video.
An AI cat video, not a real talking cat
This is an AI cat video and we say so. The cat never moved: Wan 3.0 animates the still photo, the voice is an AI rapper from Lyria (with Google's SynthID watermark in the audio), and the words come from Gemini. People love talking cat videos, but please don't pass one off as real; say it was made with AI when you post it. Make yours from the AI rap video generator or check pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with any cat?
It works best with one cat whose face is clear, turned toward the camera and fills a good part of the photo. Very dark or blurry photos may be refused.
Will my cat sound like a cat?
No. The rap is performed by an AI rapper's voice, male or female, over the beat. Only the cat's face moves.
Can I use a famous internet cat or a cartoon cat?
No. Only upload your own pet. Copyrighted characters and mascots are refused by the photo check.
How much is a cat rapping video?
The lyrics and up to 2 previews a day are free. The video is $4.99, or three for $12.99 if you have more pets.
